A new investor class has emerged. The trade has spread from Wall Street to Main Street. Some of the most popular cable TV deal to transactions in shares. Whereas quick profits can be made with high PE stocks, the reverse is true. When a high PE population, or a growth stock, earnings disappoint the results can be spectacular. This is not a good thing for those who are participating.
Others seek refuge in stocks with more reasonable PE and pay good dividends. They seek to profit of the income stream provided by the payment of dividends rather than quick profit on a jump in the underlying stock price. This is a more patient investor you do not want exposure to the risks associated with high PE stocks.
The owners of shares with a good dividend do not need people to upload them all to benefits. Obviously, this is desirable as well, but even if the action stops the constant stream of attractive dividend yield, particularly if the performance is more 5%. Yield is calculated by dividing the annual dividend amount in the price of ongoing activities.
Some stocks have unusually high returns, sometimes, more than 10%. One should Beware of high-yielding stocks exceptional dividend. Often there is a reason behind the anomaly, most often is the smart money thinks there will be a cut in dividends. When dividends are cut which reduces the performance of a drastic change in the calculations.
